YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT!

What does this mean to me?  This phrase means so much more to me now at this point in my life, than ever before.  And it is so TRUE! I guarantee that this statement holds true for anyone and everyone that puts their faith in it.

When you feed your body the foods that contain the essential nutrients that are fuel for the body, your body responds well, very well, in fact.  Whole foods, which include any plant-based foods, grass fed organic humanely raised beef, free range organic eggs, chicken or turkey, wild caught fish, nuts, seeds, legumes and plenty of organic, non-GMO fruits and vegetables is a sustainable way of eating.  This way of eating is a way of life, not a diet and the way nature intended our bodies to thrive.

On the contrary, when you eat prepackaged, processed foods, candy and soda, which I have definitely done before,  I can attest, you will feel crappy! If you eat processed or fried foods with little to no fruits or vegetables you may have a lot of symptoms which is your body’s way of saying ‘this isn’t working for me!’  The symptoms of headache, joint pain, digestive issues, heartburn, reflux, constipation, bloating, skin issues, anxiety, depression or whatever it may be are all signs that your body is not getting the proper nutrients it needs and this is your body’s way of letting you know.  If you can learn how to listen to your body and make one, small change at a time to what you consume on a daily basis, you are already on the road to a happier, healthier you. Just remember, YOU are the only one in control of what goes into your body…you have a choice here, so make it a good one!
